News Highlights

  • The new Pulsar NS200 will be powered by the same 199.5 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine.
  • The Pulsar NS200 and NS160 get an odometer, the usual trip meter, a fuel gauge, and a speedometer.

Bajaj Auto India has taken wraps off the 2024 Pulsar NS200 and Pulsar NS160. The two-wheeler maker has not shared the pricing details for the new models, but they are likely to be priced higher than the other Pulsar motorcycles. The brand has rolled out the refreshed versions of the Pulsar NS160 and NS200 to keep pace with the other automakers in the competitive motorcycle segment. The elements like the split seat and muscular tank remain unchanged from earlier models. The NS200 and NS160 feature a sporty design, just like the previous bikes, with their sharp-looking body panels.

The refreshed versions of the new Pulsar motorcycle will come equipped with an LED headlamp along with LED daytime running lamps. Earlier, the motorcycles came with a halogen headlamp, making the bikes less modern in terms of design. However, the new lighting setup provides the new bikes with a modern look.

The other significant change is the integration of an updated digital instrument cluster, which is also equipped on the Pulsar N150 and N160 motorcycles. The revamped cluster integrated into the new bikes comes with a blacked-out instrument cluster that can be managed via the switchgear located on the handlebar. The cluster displays information like distance to empty, instantaneous fuel economy, average fuel economy, mobile notification alerts, gear position indicator, and time. Also, the bikes get the Bajaj Ride Connect application for Bluetooth connectivity, which enables riders to connect their mobile phones and access features like SMS notifications, incoming calls, and turn-by-turn navigation.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and Pulsar NS160 also have an odometer, the usual trip meter, a fuel gauge, and a speedometer. The analogue tachometer equipped in the previous models has been replaced by a new horizontal digital unit. While driving the motorcycle, riders will get to reject or accept calls. Additionally, there is an updated USB port to charge mobile phones.

Under the bonnet, the new Pulsar NS200 will get the same 199.5 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 24.16 bhp at 9,750 rpm and peak torque of 18.74 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Pulsar NS160, on the other hand, will be powered by the same 160.03 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine delivering 17.03 bhp of power and peak torque of 14.6 Nm. The components of both motorcycles will also remain the same.
